The Vonkka camp site in Hyrynsalmi offers cosy facilities for people travelling by caravan or camper, or with a tent. You can order breakfast and you can also rent a boat for your use or, for example, a sauna with a hot tub.

Rental chalets and other comprehensive services from Hyrynsalmi
Camping Vonkka in Hyrynsalmi offers cosy facilities and lots to do, for everyone travelling by caravan, camper or with a tent and also rental chalets for those looking for chalet accommodation. In our small, clean chalets, there’s bedding (linen can be rented), electricity, a fridge and heating.
All guests have at their disposal:
- WCs and showers in the main building; at night, in the outhouse
- A kitchen and washroom downstairs in the main building
- An ample breakfast on order (additional charge)
- An evening programme and karaoke in our dance restaurant; see the coming events here.
Dip in for a swim, have a sauna, go boating or fish!
The sandy beach at the site is shallow and is also suitable for smaller swimmers. You can have a sauna on order, either in an electric sauna or in a lakeside sauna. It’s also possible to order a hot tub and sauna for private use. The lake is about 30 km long and we rent out rowing boats, with which it’s handy to get to fishing waters.

Rental chalets
- 1–2 person chalet €25/day (no fridge)
- 2–5 person chalet €40/day/2 persons, + €5/additional person
- During swamp football €40-80/day, + €25 per person Th – Su.
Additional services
- Set of bed linen €10, incl. bedsheet, duvet cover, pillow case and bath towel
- Laundry €5/machine load
- Rowing boat €5/2 hours, €9/4 hours, €14/day
